Yuki the Juggler
Yuki Ueda, a Japanese Canadian, has nearly two decades of juggling experience. He began performing on the streets of Europe in 2007, honing his craft before moving to Africa to refine his style. Returning to Vancouver, Canada, in 2009, he focused on collaborative juggling projects, earning recognition in the North American community. His performances blend traditional and contemporary juggling with freestyle dance, clowning, and theatrical elements. Recently he has mentored with master of Edo Daikagura, a traditional performance art from Japan, and is incorporating more of his culture and heritage into his artform.
Yuki’s show, “All the Way from Japan” captures the excitement of a contemporary circus while introducing audiences to elements of Japanese tradition. Through laughter, impressive juggling, and a high-stakes final trick, Yuki creates a performance that is both entertaining and memorable.
